Hey guys!
A few days ago I was walking through my local target & noticed the NYX stand had been edited! It now also carried the 'Matte But Not Flat' liquid foundation range. Looking at the colour selection I thought the shades best suited to my skin tone (NC20) where 01 Ivory & 04 Creamy Natural. The shades in between 01 & 04 where a lot darker as where the shades after 04. I did think this was odd but in the end its not all that important when looking at them in store, however if you were shopping online it could prove to be difficult to select the correct shade for you.
NYX Australia's price point is roughly twice the price of the cost in America however it is still affordable compared to many other makeup brands in Australia. In my opinion NYX products are usually quiet pink toned, so I was glad to see that these 2 shades in particular are quiet neutral. This makes them much more wearable for me as I am cool toned, & need a neutral to yellow toned skin product to match my neck etc.
I applied with a brush, a mix of the two around mid day & set it with a Face of Australia pressed powder. By 5:30 it was starting to break up in the T-zone. By 6:30 it had almost all worn off! Definitely not a foundation I would select for a special occasion, night out or long day. However for an everyday look it would be fine. Expect about 5-6 hours of wear! The packaging claims it is full coverage however my experience was a medium buildable to full coverage. The foundation has little to no scent. Each bottle contains 1.18 fluid ounce's which is 35ml of product. That's more than your average foundation for ;)
Nice review! I'd actually heard gd things about this foundation before- someone had compared it to MUFE HD foundation!! so I think I've got a more rounded opinion on it now:)
