Back again with a swatch/review post, this time the centre of attention is a new range of lip colours from the underrated Australian 'drugstore' brand Savvy!
Recently Savvy has released a new line of brightly coloured 'Ultra Matte' & 'High Shine' Lip colours, each with 5 shades to choose from, each at an effordae price of $7.99.
As you can see at first glance the colours are fairly similar to the infamous Australis Velourlips (which I find unwearable). However once swatched you quickly see small differences!
The texture, for one is alot thinner than the veloulips. Therefore you dont need as thick of a layer to get the desired look. Which in my oppinion is the velourlips' down fall. The savvy ultra matte lip colours are much easier to wear & less apparent to me while I wear them. However they take an average of 5 minutes longer to set than the velourlips! But once its set, its set! After attacking my hand with a baby wipe the savvy matte colours still looked exactly the same, whilst the veloulips had show signs of wear.
Below are the lip swatches of all 5 'Ultra Matte' Lip colours, they do set to a much matte'r appearance but I didnt want to kill my lips scrubbing each one off! As they are uber long wearing!
The 'High Shine' lip lacquer collection is 5 highly pigmented lip glosses, almost a liquid lipstick formula, that show a gorgeous shine! The formula as mentioned, is thicker than a gloss yet thinner than a liquid lipstick with amazing pigmentation & little to no streaking.
